Description:
Second expanded edition, edited by Andrzej Kotecki, Tadeusz Szulc, and Jakub Tyszkiewicz.
A comprehensive monograph presenting the history of the University of Life Sciences in Wrocław and its predecessors, from the 19thtraditions of agricultural and veterinary education, through the postwar beginnings of the Polish academic community in Wrocław, up to the establishment of the University of Life Sciences in 2006.
The second edition, expanded and supplemented, was published in 2011 to mark the university’s 60th anniversary. The publication presents the development of individual faculties and units, scientific and teaching activities, student life, and profiles of professors, rectors, and other individuals associated with the university. It also takes into account the earlier traditions of the Agricultural Academy in Dublany and the Academy of Veterinary Medicine in Lviv, which constitute an important part of the history of Wrocław’s center for agricultural and veterinary sciences.
This richly illustrated publication contains numerous photographs documenting the history of the university, its staff, students, buildings, and the most significant events in its history.
It also includes a bibliography.
