The hilt closed, iron binding. The hilt is straight, cross-edged, with a bail in the shape of a half-sheath and oval half-tracks. In the bail, at the height of the head, a slot for tying a sling. Wooden shaft, with transverse notches, wrapped in black leather. The cap is long with cheeks, with the bottom fixed together with the shaft in a ring at the hilt. Top riveted with the shaft of the head. Cheeks forged together with the shaft with a transverse rivet. Between the hilt and the hilt a leather pad. On the inner cross, military numerators. The head of steel, polished, with considerable curvature. Profiled on both sides in a very wide dorsal groove, double-edged blade, hilt in line with the spine. Corrosion throughout the head removed.
