A small Slovak military cord of the M39 pattern, intended for non-commissioned officers of the ground forces of the army of the Slovak Republic. This model was introduced during the existence of the Slovak State (1939-1945) as part of the uniform equipment of non-commissioned officers. The blade is straight, ground on both sides, with a central point, made of polished steel. It has a smooth surface without decorative engravings, intended primarily for representative purposes. The hilt is metal, with black side handles, attached with two rivets. The main feature of this model is the oval head with the image of a double cross on a triple peak, which is the national symbol of the Slovak Republic. The shield is shaped into slightly curved arms with plastic decoration. The scabbard is covered in black velvet, with silver-colored metal fittings, including a ball tip finish. The hardware includes two suspension rings for carrying the cord on a belt.
