Eagle of the 1st Uhlan Regiment (known as the “Beliniacki” Regiment) from an uhlan cap, designed by Zygmunt Rozwadowski for the cavalry of the 1st Brigade of the Polish Legions in 1915. Manufactured in Vienna in 1915.
A rarer version of this eagle with a cut-out tongue. Mounted on four pairs of hinged plates. Made of oxidized silver-plated brass. The eagle is in beautiful condition. A rarity! Lit. Tomasz Zawistowski, Polish Cap Eagles, 1900–1917, p. 102. 152x119mm.
