Saint-Emilion

Chateau Quintus is the latest addition to Domaine Clarence Dillon's impressive portfolio. It aims to showcase the unique character of the St-Emilion appellation. Wines are created here with great care and using all the experience of the owners, who also manage the famous chateaux Haut-Brion and La Mission Haut-Brion. The owners' ambitions are sure to take Quintus to the group of the appellation's top producers.
Quintus shines in the difficult 2017 vintage. The producer faced frosts, periods of drought and heat, and waited for precipitation, which fortunately came at many points. The entire region was severely tested by the weather that year.
The terroir of Quintus is one that offers grapes not only the best conditions, but also the best protection from such vintages. The 2017 Quintus is full of energy and charm, with a rich bouquet of fruit and flowers, a beautifully structured body, tasting of berries and cherries that lasts long thanks to good, clean acidity. Ready relatively quickly, but with potential for at least a decade.
54.4% merlot, 45.6% cabernet franc.
