Henryk Plóciennik born in 1933 in Lodz, Poland. An outstanding painter and graphic artist. In the course of his work he gained recognition as a graphic artist, specializing in linocut and autocynography techniques. Henryk Płuciennik's work is described as abstract, which was inspired, among other things, by the art of the 20 years between the wars, particularly Constructivism, Cubism and abstraction from that period. Over time, his works evolved towards Dadaism and Surrealism. His work includes paintings composed of geometric shapes, female nudes, linocuts, lithographs, etchings and monotypes.He exhibited at home and abroad, winning numerous awards. Works can be found in museum collections such as the Museum of Art in Lodz, national and district museums, the Jagiellonian Library.
