General view: according to the canons, Archangel Michael is shown in a reclining position of a prayerful nature, having the essential features: in the right hand a thin spear (later replaced by a sword), in the left hand he has a mirror (crystal ball) - as a symbol of foresight with the sign of the Archangel in the middle. The icon fields are green with a red border. There is no plot, as it is a fragment of a part of the iconostasis separating the altar from the rest of the rooms in the church. Such an image is usually located in the second tier of the iconostasis, to the right of the face of Jesus Christ behind John the Baptist, facing three-quarters of a turn towards Christ, so that it appears to him that he is praying.Features:Icon painted with oil technique on canvas pasted on wood. There is a defect in the lower part: the canvas has separated from the wooden base and the paint has fallen off. The wooden base without significant defects. The peg is missing. On the reverse side there is a brass bracket for hanging the painting.Time parameters: 19th century.
