Biography
Zygmunt Ajdukiewicz began his study of painting at the School of Fine Arts in Cracow, and then studied at the Vienna (1880 - 1882) and Munich (1883 - 1885) academies. After his studies, he lived permanently in Vienna, where, thanks to his cousin Tadeusz, who lived there, he developed his career as a portraitist in court and aristocratic circles, including a series of paintings for the imperial palace in Vienna depicting the mythological story of the Golden Fleece. In 1893, he visited Paris. He exhibited his paintings in Warsaw, Krakow, Lviv, Lviv, Berlin, Munich and Prague. He painted portraits, genre scenes with hunting themes and historical paintings. He was also involved in illustration.
