Painter. From 1896 he studied in Warsaw with Wojciech Gerson. In 1898 he took up studies at the School of Fine Arts in Cracow under Jacek Malczewski and Leon Wyczółkowski. In 1902, he supplemented his studies in Munich. In 1904, he settled in Bieńczyce. He exhibited regularly at the TPSP in Cracow, Warsaw's Zachęta Gallery, as well as Poznań, Lviv, Prague, Vienna and Dresden. In 1909, he stayed in Paris. In 1914, he moved to Krakow. The dominant themes of his works, which are maintained in the Young Poland style, are sub-Cracow landscapes portraits of girls in Krakow costumes (most often posed by his wife) and children, especially his own sons.
