Ludwig MANZEL (1858-1936), Caricature of a Szczecin accountant, 19th/20th century[Szczecin, Kadyny].

The author was for many years a designer of majolica in Kadyny and while living in Szczecin he designed a large fountain, the so-called Sedina Monument. In Szczecin there is also his sculpture "The fight of the lapita with the centaur." He was married to Alicja Tonn from Naklo. The artist was mainly a sculptor and few of his drawing works remain. Only one of his drawings has been auctioned in Germany over the past 20 years, reaching a high sum. On the offered work, the accountant has a document in his hand with the inscription "Marine Etat," which indicates that he was associated with the Szczecin port.
