Yaroslav Kachmar.
Born in 1955 in Lviv, Ukraine. A prominent figure in contemporary art. He works in painting, graphic art, and ceramic sculpture.
In 1974, he graduated from the ceramics department of the Lviv School of Applied Arts
(now the Ivan Trush Lviv State Institute of Decorative and Applied Arts).
Since 1976, he has been actively involved in the arts. He has participated in numerous exhibitions in Poland and in over 100 international symposia and competitions around the world.
Since 1994, he has collaborated with the Art Exhibitions Office in Lublin under the direction of the renowned art critic Andrzej Mroczek, where he has held three solo exhibitions and participated in numerous projects in which he exhibited his works alongside such renowned artists as: Christo, J. Nowosielski, J. Bereś, Nikifor, Koji Kamoji, Stanisław Fijałkowski, and others, including during the exhibition titled “Signs of Identity.”

In 2013, he was awarded the Medal of Honor at the 24th International Biennial of Contemporary Exlibris in Malbork. Also in the same year, he was a laureate of the 2nd Triennial of Ukrainian Abstract Art in the field of graphic art in Chernivtsi, Ukraine. In 2014, he was awarded the Medal of Honor at the 15th International Triennial "Small Forms of Graphic Art" in Łódź.
In 2015, he was awarded the Medal of Honor at the 25th International Biennial of Contemporary Exlibris in Malbork.
