Beata Szajna
Graduated from the State Secondary School of Fine Arts in Rzeszów in 1989. Received a degree from the Faculty of Arts at the University of Rzeszów in 2012.
Since 1998, she has been employed at Krosno Glassworks (currently Krosno Glass S.A.) as a design specialist. She designs glass, creates original collections, and works on custom projects for clients from around the world.
Her works have been presented at approximately 30 group exhibitions and trade fairs in Poland, Germany, Austria, Italy, France, the United States, England, Israel, and the United Arab Emirates. They are also part of the permanent exhibition at the Glass Heritage Center in Krosno; in 2019, she presented her designs there in a solo exhibition.
Winner of numerous awards and distinctions, including the “Golden Ville” for the Molly art glass set, 2014; the Customer’s Choice Award, 2011; and Good Design for the Vinoteca decanter, 2015. Her Samara vase, designed for the Frankfurt Fair in 2005, was presented at exhibitions in Milan, 2019, and Dubai, 2021, and was one of the best-selling products of Krosno Glassworks in the first decade of the 21st century—over 25,000 vases were produced and sold.
She is also active in the visual arts (including painting and drawing). Birds are a frequent subject of her work. She is a member of the Ornithological Group, with which she travels across many regions of Poland in search of the rarest and most interesting bird species.
