Starting in 1912, a political organization known as the National Defense Committee operated in the United States. The purpose of this organization was to support the reconstruction of Poland through the efforts of the Polish American community. One of its activities involved distributing receipts/vouchers, such as the one featured in this auction.
Currently a less common type of voucher, this piece is in good condition, with only three slight vertical creases and a tear in the upper left corner; the corners are rounded. Voucher dimensions: 15 x 8.5 cm
