The factory's mission was embodied in its name taken from Latin, in which "orno" means "to decorate. The simple and expressive forms of ORNO's products were appreciated by both state institutions and individual customers. One of the most famous fans of ORNO aesthetics was Joanna Chmielewska, whose orno ring with coral became an important plot in her crime novel "Side Roads."
