A large number of fruits and flowers lie on a stepped stone plinth, which serves as a base for a vase decorated with a figurative putti relief, some of which appear to overhang the border of the viewer's space. A projection on the right is dominated by a whole number of reflective grapes and walnuts, while an antique-style relief vase with putti rises up next to it and - as can often be observed in van Os' work - serves as a base for a pineapple fruit that occupies the upper right vacant pictorial space. Lilies and autumn leaves, a rare combination, are to be appreciated as a compositional peculiarity.
