Matured for 5 years in Bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, the Inaugural Edition was bottled at 50% alcohol strength, without artificial coloring or cold filtration. It is a bold, characterful peated whisky. Tasting Notes: Aroma: Opens with a basket of green apples and red berries with a rich sweetness reminiscent of cookies. A subtle smokiness breaks through the grassy note, followed by notes of lemon meringue, raisins and Danish pastry. Taste: Quite a creamy, mouth-watering texture. Hints of campfire smoke, licorice, marzipan and shortbread cookies. Deep spices and buttery croissants build sweetness against the honeyed meat. Finish: Medium-long to long with a noticeable smokiness.
